Shannon is a Controller at Optima Office with more than 20 years of experience in accounting, finance, and operations. She provides strategic financial oversight and hands-on accounting leadership for a diverse portfolio of real estate clients.
Shannon specializes in multi-entity real estate accounting across property management, commercial brokerage, and investment structures. Her work includes financial reporting, intercompany reconciliation, chart of accounts standardization, software implementation and migration, and month-end close management, often across multiple client organizations simultaneously. She brings deep experience in platforms such as QuickBooks Online and Desktop, Xero, Yardi, AppFolio, and Ramp, and has led complex data migrations and system transitions from discovery through go-live.
Prior to joining Optima Office, Shannon built her career working directly with small and mid-sized businesses, where she established accounting departments from the ground up and restructured financial operations within established organizations. She began her career at a bookkeeping firm serving clients across a wide range of industries, an experience that shaped her practical, systems-oriented approach and her passion for building scalable processes.
Shannon’s industry experience spans real estate, property management, commercial brokerage, product development, and product sales.
She earned her Master of Business Administration in 2016 and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2004.
