Daniela (Dana) Sarbulescu is Chief Accounting & Technology Officer at Optima Office, bringing 20+ years of experience helping businesses grow with clarity — grounded in numbers, powered by process, and supported by strong teams. Her background is unusual for an accounting leader: she’s also an entrepreneur and operator at heart, having run her own eCommerce business in Germany for 10 years. Wearing every hat in that business taught her firsthand how critical clean data, solid systems, and smart decisions are to growth — and shaped the owner’s mindset she brings to every client engagement.
At Optima, Dana leads both the accounting function and the firm’s technology strategy, including its Power BI reporting infrastructure (Optima Insights) and AI and automation initiatives. She has deep expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and full-cycle accounting, with hands-on experience building and managing accounting departments. She’s passionate about using Power BI, EOS, and process design to make finance a strategic driver of the business rather than a back-office function — and about empowering people with tools and insights that make their work easier, faster, and more impactful.
Dana holds a B.S. in Business Administration and a Specialization in Financial Accounting and Reporting from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is fluent in English, Romanian, and German.
