Meet Karen Alexander, who is a native of Colorado and continues to live and work there. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado and enjoyed spending her college years in Boulder, CO. She had a successful 20+ year career managing a department of 40 accountants for the Denver based office of Anadarko Petroleum, an Oil and Gas Company headquartered in The Woodlands, TX. She took a Voluntary Severance in December 2019 and joined her husband to help him with his construction business.
She has a full range of knowledge related to oil and gas accounting and has also quickly learned the construction business. She has ran all our accounting business in SAP a fully integrated ERP system. With Optima, she is using QuickBooks and Xero.Optima has given her the opportunity to gain experience in many different industries, including real estate and healthcare. She enjoys the flexibility of working for Optima. The people she interacts with are amazing, very knowledgeable and friendly. She’s had a full career and loves that Optima gives her the chance to continue to learn and grow at a more relaxed pace.Karen Alexander loves the outdoors! She spends time walking and hiking with her husband and two dogs. When the urge to go to the beach occurs, she is blessed to have family in CA and it’s only a 2-hour plane ride away!
