Karen is a proven business leader with a strategic mindset and a results-driven approach. Prior to joining Optima Office, she spent more than 25 years in a variety of leadership roles within the oil and gas industry, developing extensive expertise in accounting, operations, financial systems, and organizational management.
Most recently, Karen supported her husband’s general contracting business by overseeing accounting operations, including project accounting, financial reporting, and the preparation of monthly financial statements. Her diverse background has provided her with a strong foundation in both operational and construction accounting, enabling her to effectively support organizations across a wide range of industries.
Karen’s areas of expertise include financial software integration and implementation, audit coordination, due diligence for acquisitions, mergers, and divestitures, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, including monthly control testing. She is recognized for her ability to streamline processes, strengthen internal controls, and lead teams through complex business initiatives while driving operational efficiency.
Karen earned a Bachelor of Science in Business with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of Colorado.
