Meet Chad Putnam, Executive Vice President & Consulting CFO at Optima Office. Chad has over 25 years of finance and accounting experience. He has worked for venture-backed, publicly traded, and professional service companies in the life sciences, technology, and consulting industries. Prior to joining Optima, Chad provided consulting services to Eiger Biopharmaceuticals, a publicly traded and commercial-stage company focused on the development of therapies to treat rare diseases. He also worked at RSM LLP, where he led the firm’s West Region Finance & Accounting Outsourcing practice. From 2010 to 2018, he served as the CFO for Access Scientific and Evofem. Additionally, he provided CFO services to clients on a fractional basis. Before this, he held various positions of increasing responsibility. These included Vice President of Finance at PatientSafe Solutions, a venture-backed healthcare information technology company. Chad started his career in the audit practice of Ernst & Young LLP. His experience includes venture capital financing, financial planning and analysis, cash flow management, strategic modeling, process improvement, and system implementations.
Chad received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from the University of San Diego. He is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive).
